Meredith Coloma is one of the youngest professional guitar builders around. In her teens, she began her apprenticeship with renowned Roger Sadowsky in New York who builds electric and bass guitars for some of the biggest names in rock and jazz music (Bruce Springsteen, Keith Richards, Will Lee, Gilberto Gil, Tom Hamilton).
Back home in Vancouver as the only apprentice ever taken on by instrument builder extraordinaire Michael Dunn, she went on to build a variety of acoustic instruments such as gypsy guitars, acoustic guitars (with and without original designs for internal sound boxes and sound ports), gypsy mandolins of her own specs, ukuleles, and art guitars.
Meredith has been featured in guitar building magazines, newspaper articles, and radio and internet interviews around the world in Canada, the US, Romania, Turkey and Japan. Her builds are characterized by the superior sound and tone not compromised by their aesthetic beauty.
